Katy Perry launches new fragrance

NEW YORK:  KATY Perry takes up her position as a real pop princess as she poses on top of a golden throne.

The Wide Awake singer took her place on the chair dressed in a heavily embellished ball gown and clutching a bunch of flowers as she promoted the release of her latest fragrance Killer Queen.

Katy, 28, wore her hair in full-on glamorous waves and fluttered her long eyelashes, playfully posing for the cameras at the James B Duke Mansion in New York City.   She was joined by Coty's Vice President of Marketing Steve Mormoris as she previewed the scent in the glamorous setting. Katy - who was all smiles despite her recent split from fellow crooner John Mayer - has previously released two other perfumes. –TS

In 2010 she launched the kitty-cat inspired Purr, which was followed up by Meow in 2011. Tweeting about the event she wrote: "Just had an elegant unveiling of my new fragrance KILLER QUEEN at the Duke! Can't wait to share the royal juice! #sosophisticated."
