They enchanted the world when photos were released of their beautiful wedding.
But Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may have said ‘I do’ to a substantial number for the images before their walk down the aisle. Radar Online is reporting that the famous couple received a total of $5m for their wedding photos that were published in the latest issues of People and Hello! magazines.
Brad and Angelina’s rep did not return calls to MailOnline. However, the handsome 50-year-old groom and his blushing 39-year-old bride will reportedly donate the money to charity as the couple is well known for their philanthropic efforts. According to an insider for the online entertainment publication, People and Hello, magazine ‘each paid $2.5 million for a selection of wedding pictures from Brad and Angelina’s wedding.
‘Hello! has the international rights to the pictures. Before the wedding, Brad and Angie personally chose a photographer they had worked with from Getty Images for the wedding.’ As the couple previously cashed in a reported $14m in 2008 for published images of their twins, Knox and Vivienne, the move to donate the large amount to charity comes as no surprise from the giving stars.
Radar Online’s source added: ‘Brad and Angelina knew their would be tremendous interest in their wedding pictures, and decided to donate the money to their charitable foundation. The couple has done this numerous times in the past.’ The couple were married on August 23 at their sprawling French estate Chateau Miraval after famously meeting and falling in love on the set of 2005’s Mr & Mrs Smith.
Standing out in the published photographs was Angelina’s wedding gown created by Atelier Versace master tailor Luigi Massi, which featured a fitted bodice with simple thin stripes, the complete with ruching, with a plain waist, kicking into a flowy skirt.
