New York (Metro): That Oscars selfie is now a painting adorning the wall at Twitter’s headquarters. When will the madness end? The world-famous picture, taken during the Oscars this year, was tweeted by talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and became the most retweeted tweet of all time. Zach Seward, senior editor of news blog Qwartz, tweeted a snap of the painting on the wall at Twitter HQ.
Featuring DeGeneres and a host of other A-list stars like Bradley Cooper, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt and Kevin Spacey, it spawned a number of spoofs including one featuring Homer Simpson, another that replaced the celebs with famous 90s icons and one featuring Bill and Hillary Clinton. The original photo has been tweeted over 3.4million times so far, and favourited more than 2million times.
