Robert Pattinson dumped Kristen Stewart because his BFF Katy Perry didn’t approve of their relationship, it has been claimed.
After Kristen cheated on Rob with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, Perry had a hard time supporting their relationship. Katy relates to Rob’s trust issues with Kristen because of her own experience with rumors of infidelity during her marriage to Russell Brand. “Katy never really supported Rob’s decision to get back with Kristen,” a source told America’s Life & Style magazine. “She always said they wouldn’t last. Katy told Rob she didn’t think their relationship could withstand the cheating scandal. And he deserved better than someone who would destroy a family.” As previously reported, Rob couldn’t forgive Kristen for cheating on him. “He really put her through the ringer,” a source said. “Ultimately, it was like, ‘Either we move past this or we don’t.’ It wasn’t good for either of them. “Rob always brings up the cheating scandal to Kristen. He hangs it over her head. They’re both good people. It was just not the right thing for either of them right now.”
