LONDON – With the start of new year, India, in order to expand its spy network through its diplomatic missions in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran, has doubled the funds for its spy agencies RAW and IB.
The undercover diplomats working at Indian embassies in Pakistan and Afghanistan have been assigned the new task. Western media claimed that high ranking officials from Indian Interior Ministry and The Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) held a meeting in recent past and finalised the plan in the light of decisions taken by Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Sing to increase the secret funds for the spy agencies. A plan was chalked out to coordinate the relations of the joint operations section of the Indian spy network in Afghanistan with the American CIA.
The joint operations section of India, run by RAW and Intelligence Bureau (IB), is already active in Pakistan. Now India has expanded the network of its spy agency RAW to different areas in Afghanistan through its consulate offices. India has started appointing secret agents at its consulate offices taking diplomatic cover.
The satellite technology and sophisticated tools used by Indian secret agencies have been provided by American CIA and Israeli Mossad. Indian spy agency RAW has appointed people from different Indian cities having expertise in Urdu, Sindhi, Balochi and Pashto.
