2 killed, 6 injured in Russian gas explosion

Two people died and six were injured in a gas explosion in far eastern Russia, the local news agency said, quoting an official from the emergency services ministry. The blast occurred around 1:00 am (1500 GMT) at a building in a village in Primorye, the official said, adding that six flats in the two-storey building were damaged. Eight injured people were pulled from the rubble and two of them died in hospital later, the official said.
