Alleged 9/11 mastermind to be tried in New York

The self-proclaimed mastermind of the September 11, 2001 attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and four co-defendants will be tried in a civilian court in New York, The Washington Post reported Friday. The decision to try the five in a federal court instead by military commission was due to be announced by the Justice Department later in the day, a federal official told the Post on condition of anonymity.
