A soldier with the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was killed Tuesday in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) strike in Afghanistan's restive southern region, the military alliance said. "An International Security Assistance Force service member died following an improvised explosive device attack in southern Afghanistan today," NATO said in a brief statement released here. The nationality of the victim and exact location of the incident had not been revealed in the press release, adding that it is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.
