Ex-Bangladesh PM Khaleda Zia gets second court exemption

Detained former Bangladeshi prime minister Khaleda Zia appeared a step closer to being released from custody Tuesday after the country's high court suspended a second graft case against her. Her lawyer Rafiqul Haq said the case, involving a contract to run a container terminal, had been suspended for three months. The decision came a week after the court suspended another case against her for two months, effectively paving the way for Zia to travel abroad for medical treatment in an apparent deal with the country's interim army-backed government.
