Kabul- Afghan police backed by the Army have killed over a dozen Taliban militants across the country over the past 24 hours, Afghan Interior Ministry said today.
"Units of police, together with the national army have carried out series of cleanup operations in Logar, Kandahar, Kunduz, Farah and Helmand provinces over the past 24 hours during which 15 Taliban rebels have been killed, one injured and 10 others arrested," the statement said. It didn't say if there were any casualties on the side of security forces. Taliban militants have yet to comment.
