President in Kuwait to attend golden jubilee celebrations

President Asif Ali Zardari arrived on a two-day official visit to Kuwait on Friday to attend the countrys 50th independence day celebrations. The President was received by Kuwaits Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at the Kuwait International Airport. Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Pakistans ambassador in Kuwait Iftikhar Aziz and senior government officials were also present. On his arrival, two children clad in traditional attire presented him bouquets.A contingent of Kuwaits armed forces presented salute to the visiting dignitary. Minister for Privatization Syed Naveed Qamar and Secretary Petroleum Imtiaz Qazi accompanied the President. President Zardaris visit closely follows the one by Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Feb 14-15, who focused on enhancing the Pak-Kuwait relationship on bilateral and economic fronts. During his two-day stay, President Zardari will hold talks with the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
