Israel kills two Palestinians in West Bank

Israeli soldiers shot and killed two Palestinians of President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah movement on Saturday in the West Bank city of Nablus, medical officials and sources with the group said. The Israeli army had no comment on the shootings which came two days after an Israeli man was killed in a roadside ambush in the West Bank. Medics said soldiers had surrounded the homes of the two Palestinians before shooting and killing them. Troops had also headed to the home of a third Fatah member, witnesses said. Sources in Fatah said those who were killed belonged to their group. The sources said the two dead had been disarmed under security measures taken by Abbas's police force and at least one had previously been on an Israeli wanted list.
