Four Palestinian militants and a little girl were killed late Friday in an explosion near a beach outside Gaza City, officials at the Shifa hospital and the Hamas movement said. Medics said that 15 people were also hurt in the blast. The blast apparently occurred in a car in which they were riding but the cause of the explosion was not immediately clear. The militants were members of the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, the Islamist movement that seized control of Gaza on June 15 last year. Medics named them as Iyad al-Aya, Amir al-Sabeh, Nidal Mubeihed and Osama Alhelo.
