Two Nigerian drug traffickers were executed by firing squad early Friday in Indonesia, an official said. "A firing squad of 12 people executed them in an outdoor area some three kilometres away from their prison," provincial prisons chief Bambang Winahyo told Agencies. He said the execution was carried out just after midnight near Nusakambangan island prison in central Java. Samuel Iwachekwu Okeye and Hansen Anthoni Nwaoysa were caught smuggling some seven kilogrammes (15.4 pounds) of heroin into the country through Soekarno Hatta airport in 2001.
