Brazilian student alleges raped by landlord in Indian capital
A Brazalian female student has alleged that her landlord raped her twice in the Indian capital after mixing sedatives in her coffee, following which the accused has been arrested, a senior police official said Wednesday.
"The 27-year-old woman, a student of Mass Communication, lodged a complaint with the police in south Delhi yesterday morning. In her complaint, she has alleged that her landlord came to meet her on June 19 and offered coffee and she fell unconscious after drinking the coffee.
"The landlord took advantage of it and raped her on that day. He allegedly raped her again on June 20. We have arrested the accused," the official said.
The Brazailian national came to India in the first week of June and has been staying in a rented accommodation since June 19.
"We are waiting for the result of her medical examination. A probe has been ordered," the official added.
