Former PM Pervez Ashraf’s son-in-law appointment declared illegal

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has declared null and void the appointment of Shahnawaz, son-in-law of former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, as illegal.
In its hearing of the case on Monday, the court observed that the action taken by then government was not in conformity with the law as the person did not qualify for the position.
It is to be mentioned here that Shahnawaz was appointed as Deputy Director in Pak-China Investment Company, an action that raised hue and cry and causing judicial action against the relative of the dignitary.
It is an undeniable fact that high-ups ranks have been promoting their loved ones on important positions of the government, raising questions over their credibility and implementation of the law of the land.
