Seven civilians were killed and nine wounded in an overnight exchange of fire between security forces and Taliban militants in the northwestern Swat Valley, residents said. A military spokesman confirmed the clash but said he had reports of two civilians wounded. In a separate incident in the valley, security forces killed four militants and captured six on Saturday after militants ambushed a military vehicle and killed three soldiers, the military said.
