Information Minister Pervez Rashid has said that government has started making headway to rein in all the crisis including gas and electricity due to its viable policies adding that the opposition was making hue and cry over petty issues.
He said this while talking to media men here Friday. He held that the next one or two years are very vital for the security and stability of the region as the issues like peace and security will assume importance due to US and NATO forces pull out from Afghanistan.
The minister said that dialogue process has started with Taliban and the people will be informed whenever a noticeable breakthrough is achieved on this count.
“We are pursuing track-2 diplomacy with India on all outstanding issues. Pakistan wants all the problems are sorted out through dialogue process”, he underlined.

The fruits of such better policies have started trickling down , he added. In this situation, the opposition is left with no issue to target the government, he remarked. Therefore, opposition boycotted senate session on petty matters, he held.
Commenting on success of former senator Kamran Murtaza, from JUI-F in Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) recent election for the slot of president he said Asma Jahangir and Maulana Fazlur Rehman are on the same line on this count. JUI-F is moderate and enlightened party, he added. Whatever responsibility was assigned to Maulana Fazlur Rehman he discharged it in a befitting manner, he observed. Maulana Fazl has rendered meritorious services as chairman Kashmir committee, he stated.
