Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-S), Maulana Sami-ul-Haq has started making contacts to bolster dialogue process with Taliban and also suggested some recommendations to government regarding his cooperation for dialogue process.
According to a private television channel, Maulana has asked the government to be strict with its stance of dialogue and if delaying tactics would be used in implementing proposed (JUI-S) recommendations then the party will ultimately back out from dialogue process.
He demanded of the government to urgently announce withdrawal from war on terror and stop intelligence-sharing over drone attacks. “This fire can only be extinguished through dialogue process,” sources quoted Maulana.
Sources said that Maulana Sami-ul-Haq has also demanded guarantee from the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that any kind of operation to sabotage peace process should be avoided.
The JUI-S chief also demanded of the government to clarify to US that drones are not only against country’s sovereignty but also derailed dialogue process.
