ISLAMABAD - The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is all set to revive the decades old Training Academy that had been ignored for the last 25 years.
Chairman CDA Maroof Afzal will inaugurate the academy today at the Pak China Friendship Center and has directed the Executive Director General of the academy to conduct courses for officials and officers of different cadres of the authority on monthly basis.
The vision of the academy, according to a statement issued here, is to focus on CDA employees' mental capabilities and to improve professional performance standards. The primary objective of the academy is to plan and promote full use of resources to assist its employee's growth through training and education.
"The objective to revive the training academy is to create and maintain a solid foundation of knowledge, skills and confidence to CDA employees by providing quality training and development opportunities for professionals," Director Public Relations CDA Asim Khichi said in a statement.
The focus is to provide educational opportunities for enhancing the performance of workforce, career development and self-enrichment in order to serve the masses effectively in the long term.
The statement said, the training academy would be offering "Enhancement in Leadership", "Improvement in vertical & Horizontal Communication" and "Office orientation" courses in the month of June for its employees.
