Political leaders express different opinions over the death of Al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Ladin in Pak-US intelligence joint operation in Abbottabad. Some termed it major breakthrough in war on terror, others say it would not hurt the Al-Qaedas widespread network while some have demanded the US to leave the region as it had completed the task to nab or kill Osama. Ex-Information Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MNA Sherry Rehman said that death of Osama in US special force operation in cooperation with Pakistani military intelligence was a great success as Pakistan has been be struggling to nip the menace extremism and terrorism. She said that killing of Osama by Pakistani forces reveals Pakistans commitment against terrorism. Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan said that during near past US justified its presence in South Asian region aimed at hunting Al-Qaeda chief OBL who as per their claims was the mastermind of World Trade Centre blasts which left more than 2500 people dead besides injuring hundreds of others. He said that after confirmation of OBL death US has no justification to stay in Pakistan or Afghanistan as its task has been completed. Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) leader Marvi Memon criticized the sitting political leadership for their mysterious silence over the killing of OBL when the entire international media was concentrating on the issue and US President Barack Obama himself addressed the nation to take them into confidence over the issue. She said that death of OBL may be a remarkable success regarding ongoing war on terror but it would have been much better when Pakistani forces and intelligence themselves have operated. Chairman Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Raja Zafarul Haq said that Al-Qaeda was used by US to defeat Soviet Union in Afghanistan and when it came across US interests it was declared terrorist organization and international level hunt was launched for them. He claimed that death of OBL would not affect Al-Qaedas extensive set-up as stated a section of Western media that it would bring the Al-Qaedas era to en end. Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Syed Munawar Hassan said that OBL was centre of US war on terror and Pakistan should immediately withdraw its cooperation with US in war on terror after Al-Qaeda leaders death. He said that western media was availing all opportunities to disgrace Pakistan among the international community. He said US and its allies tall claims about the so-called war on terror would come to ground if Pakistan withdraw its support, but our leadership havent courage to do so.
