ISLAMABAD - Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday said Pakistan's economic recovery is linked with peace and this is why the government is attaching huge importance to dialogue with the Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP).
"European Union(EU) can play active role in regional peace and stability and Pakistan is a force for good in the region," said Maulana, in a meeting with Lars-Gunnar Wigemark.
The ambassador said the EU commitment to a strong bilateral relationship with Pakistan. They said that EU supports Pakistani government's efforts to resolve violent activities through peaceful means.
He said that peace and stability in Pakistan is in the interest of Afghanistan and the whole region. He appreciated the role of EU in investing in the region.
European Union (EU), he said, is keen to invest in Pakistan's economy and also wants to help in giving more access to EU markets.
