No one can be allowed to ridicule army, judiciary: CJP

A three-member Supreme Court bench Thursday heard the petition about the role of media.
The counsel of the petitioner Sardar Ghazi read to the court an ISPR press release and a statement by Hussain Haqanni.
In his remarks the CJP said that Constitution of Pakistan gives protection to army and judiciary, adding criticism within certain parameters can be allowed.
The counsel Raja Irshad said the statement by Hussain Haqanni was against the security of Pakistan.
He said a senior journalist tried to defame the Pak Army.
To this the Justice Iftikhar remarked if he had any objection to the statement by any journalist, he should file a law suit against the said journalist.
