Pakistan is working on a policy to further strengthen its ties with Islamic countries and the forthcoming visit of the Saudi Foreign Minister is part of this strategy, foreign office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam said in her weekly news briefing here on Friday.
She said Prince Saud Al Faisal's visit is part of routine interaction between the two countries. She said the schedule of visit was agreed in New York during the tour of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to UN General Assembly.
She said the Saudi Foreign Minister will hold important talks with Pakistani leadership on various bilateral‚ regional and international issues during his two-day stay.
Similarly‚ she said‚ the United Arab Emirates President is also in Pakistan on a private visit for hunting.
She said both the visits have no link with the issue of Pervez Musharraf‚ which is purely Pakistan's internal matter.

To another question Tasneem Aslam said that Pakistan wants to restore dialogue process with India at the earliest for which a mechanism is already in place.
The spokesperson said Pakistan will continue to contribute positively in the Afghan peace process. She expressed the hope that 2014 will prove to be the year of peace and stability in Afghanistan.
