ISLAMABAD  - Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rasheed said Wednesday that federal government was ready to hold dialogue with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan.
Talking to a private TV channel, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed assured to address PTI’s concerns. He said the prevailing conflict and confrontation could affect the operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists.
Pervaiz Rasheed said he was ready to hold dialogue with PTI either inside or outside the parliament.
“Is there any problem that cannot be solved?” he asked.
He said he was willing to address Khan’s complaints, adding that the government wanted to solve the problems through talks.
The federal minister said that country was passing through an important phase of its history and the message of division should not go to public.
 He said this was not a military dictatorship and the country was enjoying a civilian rule.
Rasheed said elimination of terrorism was only possible through unity.
“We all should back the army unitedly,” he said.
The information minister said that even though the politics of protests was part of democracy, the time was not favourable for that.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif always talked about dialogue and was ready for it again.

INP adds: Senator Pervaiz Rasheed said that terrorism had become an international issue and whole world was facing the terror menace.
In an interview with the US based news agency on Wednesday, he said the roots of terrorist groups were connected with Afghanistan war who were involved in terrorist activities for their personal interests.
Rasheed said Pakistan had rendered massive sacrifices in war on terror in which so far 130 billion dollars had been lost.
To a question, Rasheed said the military operation launched in North Waziristan was meant to break the armed wings of terrorist groups while it would take time to dismantle their ideological branches scattered throughout the country.
He said Pakistan believed in the policy of non-interference in matters of other countries, adding that he hoped that other countries would follow the same policy.
The minister said that government was taking solid steps for addressing difficulties faced by internally displaced persons. He said Rs 40,000 cash was being provided to each family of IDPs for the month of Ramazan.
