Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry has stressed for making the governance compliant to the constitution. Speaking at full court reference for Justice Ejaz Chaudhry on his retirement the Chief Justice of Pakistan said the function of judiciary is to interprete the constitution and ensure its implementation. Justice Chaudhry said the judiciary has been bound to protect the rights of the citizens and to ensure equality among them. President Supreme Court Bar Qazi Anwar said that the impression being created that the hearing of the petition about judicial commission will create conflict between the judiciary and the parliament.
