The number of maintenance staff at Parliament House has been reduced under the instructions of Speaker National Assembly, Dr. Fehmida Mirza. It has been reported that the total number of staff of Directorate of Coordination Parliament House was 431, which has been cut down to 220. this decision has been taken under the parsimony process. Capital Development Authority has issued its reviewed notification of the staff. However, this additional staff would be adjusted in other departments such as Convention Center and Cabinet Block etc. But they would continue receiving additional allowances.
