No early elections on aspirations of a single party: Dr Firdous

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Thursday that general elections would be held on time and early elections cannot be called to the fulfilment of desires of a single political party. There is a proper mechanism to hold general elections and the government cannot go for early polls on the aspirations of any political party, she said talking to media after addressing a website-launching. The website will contain different material about Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. The information minister said 2013 would be the election year, adding, it is the responsibility of the Election Commission to hold elections that has already stated that voters lists are not yet complete.
