Govt set to introduce affordable transport system

ISLAMABAD (INP) – A Chinese State owned Transport Company, CRFG has shown its willingness to provide honourable and affordable transport system for Islamabad to meet the requirements of commuters and the PPP government is all set to launch the project during its present tenure.
The CDA sources told this agency that the company would finance the purchase of the transport fleet. They said negotiations for the modern transport system were held in Beijing during the visit of Chairman CDA Engineer Farkhand Iqbal. They said the President and the Prime Minister had tasked the CDA Chairman to give the model transport system a priority because in the past several plans were made by the previous governments but they could not initiate them.
According to details there would be separate lanes for this affordable and respectable transport system and it would be run on fixed times.  They further said that the new system will reduce vehicle density on the roads as people would certainly prefer to travel by the new system which would be cheap and comfortable. Savings would also come through less wear and tear of roads as well as on petrol and CNG. The CDA Chairman is now in China and agreement is expected to be signed for its early implementation.
