ISLAMABAD (APP) - National Vocational and Technical Education Commission, (NAVTEC) has achieved the first milestone by getting Construction Training Technology Institute (CTTI), here accredited with Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC). Earlier, NAVTEC entered into a MoU with APACC, the only regional TVET accrediting agency, says a press release here on Friday. NAVTEC processed applications of ten (10) TVET institutions from all over the four provinces of Pakistan for APACC Accreditation. NAVTEC provided all technical support to CTTI for fulfilling necessary requirements to mature the case for Accreditation, supervised and sponsored the on-site-visit of international accreditation experts to the Institute. Consequently, CTTI has been declared as APACC Accredited Institution. APACCs accreditation is considered as internationally recognized sign of quality. CTTI as an accredited institution and stakeholder will enjoy the benefits of greater workforce mobility and mutual recognition of qualifications in Asia and the Pacific region. Graduates of CTTI will now have fairly good opportunities for employment in the Republic of South Korea and other Asia Pacific Countries, signatory to APACC. CTTIs accreditation with APACC will further promote local and foreign employers confidence on the selection of their employees coming from this Institute. Accreditation status is important to employers while evaluating credentials of job applicants and deciding to provide support for current employees seeking further education. National Coordinator for Accreditation has been installed in NAVTEC to facilitate public and private TVET institutions desirous of APACCs accreditation.
