ISLAMABAD - Islamabad police on Monday arrested 12 outlaws including a gang of dacoits and recovered eight 30-bore pistols, one rifle 222-bore, 80 bottles of wine and 132 bullets from their possession, a spokesman said on Monday.
According to a press note issued from office of SSP Islamabad, on the tip of informer, Shahzad Police team headed by SHO Shahzad Town Inspector Fayyaz Ahmed Ranjha with Suleman Shah ASI and others conducted a raid at Service Road Jungle area and arrested 3 culprits namely Muhammad Nawaz, Khushak Yar and Abdul Haq who were preparing for dacoity and recovered three pistols with 14 bullets from their possession.
Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ashraf of Shahzad Town Police arrested an accused namely Asfandyar during patrolling and recovered 30 bore pistol with 10 bullets. Sub-Inspectors Muhammad Shafiq, Zabiullah and Arif Hussain arrested 3 culprits namely Muhammad Yar Ali, Atif Khushal and Muhammad Iftikhar during patrolling and recovered 95 bullets of Kalashnikovs and 80 bottles of wine.
Sub-Inspector Shafiq Ahmed of Sabzi Mandi Police recovered 30-bore pistol with one bullet on disclosures of accused Abdul Raheem, while Sub-Inspector Muhammad Riaz of Industrial Area Police recovered one 222 Rifle with 37 bullets from a culprit Shehr Yar during investigation. Sub-Inspector Muhammad Tehseen and ASI Muhammad Iqbal arrested two culprits namely Kamran Abbas and Imtiaz Hussain and recovered two 30-bore pistols with five bullets while ASI Abdul Hafeez of CIA Police recovered one 30-bore pistol with three bullets on the disclosure of a culprit Muhammad Rafiq.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is under way. IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq is said to have appreciated this performance and directed all police officials to intensify strict vigilance in their respective areas to curb the activities of mischievous elements.
