Zahid Bukhari, counsel of Chairman Bahria Town Malik Riaz, in Arsalan Iftikhar Case, has said that the interview of Malik Riaz published in a newspaper on Friday is fictitious. Talking to a private television channel, lawyer of Malik Riaz, Zahid Bukhari said that Malik Riaz especially telephoned and informed him that he did not give interview to any newspaper, TV channel or a journalist. Malik Riaz told him that he was ill and would record his detailed statement before the court as soon as the doctors gave him permission to do so. “I submit to the order of the court and will adhere to it,” Malik Riaz said. Zahid Bukhari further said that the issue was of national importance so he would request the court on Saturday to constitute a larger bench to hear the case in accordance with the legalities.
