Security arrangements for organisations reviewed

RAWALPINDI - In order to review security arrangements for the organisations employing foreigners, a meeting was held in the office of Additional Inspector General of Police Rawalpindi region here on Tuesday. Regional Police Officer (RPO) Nasir Khan Durrani chaired the meeting while all the representatives of the companies were also present on the occasion. City Police Officer (CPO) Rao Muhammad Iqbal, SSP Special branch Salman Chaudhary, DPO Attock Muhammad Wisal Fakhar Sultan, DPO Jehlum Waqar Ahmad Chohan, DPO Chakwal B.A Nasir, SSO Operation Muhammad Maqsood Khan, SSP VVIP security Javed Iqbal Khan, SP Rawal Town Khurram Shehzad and SP Saddar Ahmed Ahsan Chohan also attended the meeting. In the meeting, CPO Rawalpindi and DPOs of Jehlum, Chakwal and Attock gave the briefing of their existing security arrangements. In view of the present security environment and threat perception, RPO Nasir Khan Durrani advised all the stakeholders to play their due role. It was also decided that all such establishments would formulate their standing operating procedure of security and would present to the district police head for approval. It was also decided that all such set-ups would depute a designated officer of responsible rank as in-charge of all security matters relating to personnel and site. The local police will check the arrangements periodically and action will be taken against the establishments failing to make adequate and appropriate security measures. Regional Police Officer also briefed all the participants about the federal and provincial governments' instructions. He directed that the organisations would inform the local police and Foreigner Security Cell of Home Department regarding arrival and departure of the foreigners to their working places.
