ISLAMABAD – The school, whose building has been completed with the financial assistance of USAID, will help eradicate illiteracy from this remote village of tehsil Fateh Jang and aid for economic development of the region. Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University envisions providing students a platform for research aiming nation’s progress and prosperity.
Hafiz Prof Dr Muhammad Ata, Chancellor Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, highlighted the great reward for those who establish such institutions for the welfare of the masses of the nation. Such projects offer better facilities to people and enhance the quality of education. He was expressing these views as chief guest on opening ceremony of newly constructed building of Tameer-e-Millat Model School at Tameer-e-Millat City of Education (TMCE), Rutwal, Fateh Jang, in which parents, community members and renowned social worker Haji Mukhtar Khan participated. Spanned over 450+ acres of land, TMCE is a mega project of Tameer-e-Millat Foundation (TMF) where four educational and self-reliance projects have been initiated by Tameer-e-Millat Foundation.
The construction of Tameer-e-Millat Model School for Girls (TMMSG) has been completed with the assistance of United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Small Grants and Ambassador’s Fund Programme (SGAFP).
General Secretary, Mirza Habibullah briefly introduced that Tameer-e-Millat Foundation is sister organisation of Shifa International Hospitals Limited (SIH) working for education promotion since 1987. TMF has established a network of around 400 schools in 25 districts of Pakistan educating over 35,000 students. In closing remarks, Faqeer Muhammad Rashid, Chairman TMF shared that today TMF has achieved the dream of Founder Chairman Late Dr. Zaheer Ahmad of Model School for Girls for quality education. This institution will work on education and development of local community. He thanked Small Grants and Ambassador’s Fund Program and National Rural Support Program authorities for project support.
