KARAK Three persons including a widow and her two children drowned in a rainy pond in the remote area of Faqirabad Narri Panoos. As per reports, the widow, Damsaz Begum, a resident of Faqiabad Narri Panoos, Banda Daud Shah tehsil, was washing clothes of his family in a pond situated near her house where the rain water has been stored by the people of the areas to utilise it for their needs. Her one son of five years and one daughter of six years were also there and they were playing on the bank of the pond. The son and daughter of the widow suddenly fell in to the pond and for the rescue of her children she also jumped into the pond resultantly all the three persons drowned in the pond. The names of the children could not ascertain on the spot. The local people of the areas, after getting report rushed to the spot and after hectic efforts recovered the bodies from the pond. The local people of the area have demanded of the government to construct the pond according to engineering design to make it secure.
