Shortage of clean drinking water

ISLAMABAD (APP) - The residents in various sectors of the Capital are facing problems due to non-availability of clean drinking water. Hot weather and shortage of clean drinking water have made lives of the people miserable in various sectors like F-6, G-7 and I-9. Muhammad Jamal, a resident of F-6, said that shortage of clean drinking water has forced the inhabitants to consume polluted water. Sadia, a resident of G-7, maintained that people are facing shortage of clean drinking water for last two months, adding that despite various complaints registered to Capital Development Authority (CDA) the problem was not resolved. People in the locality have urged the authorities concerned to take immediate measure to resolve the problem to protect them from water borne diseases. In charge Water Supply CDA, Muhammad Amin, when contacted told the agency that due to power outrage the tube wells have become non-operational.
