Islamabad- The security arrangements of Red Zone in Islamabad have been handed over to Pakistan Army in the wake of parade and flag-hoisting ceremony on August 13 and 14.
Pakistan Army will perform security duties around Red Zone till August 14. Meanwhile, all routes leading to the Red Zone were completely sealed and Pak Army troops were deployed around it.
Nawaz government has imposed article 245 of the constitution amid Qadri’s revolution call and Imran Khan’s Azasdi march, however, government has insisted that this step was taken to tackle terrorism in wake of ongoing military operation in North Waziristan.
