The government failed to address the demands of PTI: Air Marshal (retd) Shahid Latif

ISLAMABAD- Former chief of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Martial (retd) Shahid Latif accused that Article 245 was implemented to defend Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and not the forces combating in the Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA).

According to our sources, Shahid Latif said that the military had demanded the shelter of Article 245, back in June, for the ongoing operation in FATA but the government delayed its implementation.

“Sudden implementation of Article 245, in Islamabad area, is to defend the government from protestors of PTI and PAT,” he said.

Also, he said the PML-N is entirely responsible for the incumbent political situation. The government failed to address the demands of PTI.

“There would have been no need of the current movements in Pakistan, had the PML-N government delivered something positive and tackled the situation responsibly,” he concluded.
