7 clans occupy country, looting resources: Rashid

RAWALPINDI– President Awami Muslim League (AML), Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, has said that there are seven families that occupied the country and looting all the resources.
The AML Chief expressed these views while meeting with a delegation from Khairpur headed by Wazir Rajpar on Sunday. Sheikh Rashid said that the country is under the severe grip of corruption and economy has collapsed as the rulers are borrowing money from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Talking about the performance of the present rulers, he said that the current rulers have broken all records of corruption.
He strongly criticises the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and said that if the amount of BISP should be utilised for establishing new industry it would not only reduce unemployment rate but also increases job opportunities countrywide. Commenting on his meeting with the chief of Pakistan Muslim League (F), Pir Pagara, Rashid said that he invited the Chief PML-F to pay visit to Islamabad.
Sheikh Rashid further said that his party has made seat adjustment deal with the Chief Pakistan Tehrik-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan for 12 seats.
Talking about the upcoming elections and its campaign, he proposed that despite holding big public gatherings during election campaigns the politicians should make election campaign through media to avoid any untoward situation.
