ISLAMABAD - The Federal government has decided to refer former government's one-billion-rupee scandal of scanners to the National Accountably Bureau (NAB).
According to Interior Ministry, some X-ray Inspection Systems of worth one billion rupees were imported by Pakistan during former Interior Minister Rehman Malik's tenure, but all the scanners were found out of order and could not be installed.
The government has now decided to file a case against company and the officers who received the systems.
Sources said that NAB has been directed by the government to prepare a case against the former government.
