A. K. Dogar trade barbs with judges in Sharif brothers' eligibility case

The Supreme Court hearing of Sharif brothers' eligibility case has resumed here today, when at the very outset, A. K. Dogar, counsel for seconder to Nawaz Sharif and judges of a 3-member bench of Supreme Court (SC) hearing eligibility case of Sharif brothers exchanged bitter remarks over the PCO judges. Dogar after trading barbs with the judges felt the need of a cup of tea and coming out of the court told the media that first of all, the hearing of his miscellaneous petition, relating to the High Court's authority of hearing of the case, be heard. He further said that the High Court had no authority that could declare Nawaz Sharif ineligible. A. K. Dogar said it appears that the decision would be given without hearing the real petition. Justice Sheik Hakim said, "You have earlier also said to us too much, now we cannot listen anymore. The lawyers of the proposer and seconder of Sharif brothers, Akram Sheikh and A.K. Dogar during hearing of the case yesterday had completed their arguments. Akram Sheikh had said that this was directly an ineligibility case and the existing bench should not hear this case.
