Presidential spokesmen Farhatullah Babar on Thursday rejected media reports regarding the extension of Director-General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Ahmed Shuja Pasha's tenure. While talking to media, Farhatullah Babar said no summary was received by the presidency or the prime ministers secretariat regarding the ISI chief's extension. Babar said the government had not reached any decision on the matter. Farhatullah Babar gave the statement in response to reports surfacing in the media suggesting that Ahmed Shuja Pasha was given a one-year extension to his tenure as the ISI chief.
