Nadra rejects Imran's allegation

ISLAMABAD  - National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has taken notice of Chairman PTI Imran Khan's press briefing in which he again reproached authority for manipulating election material in the basement of COMSATS building. The spokesman of Nadra rejecting Khan's claim said  Nadra had repeatedly clarified about its facility at COMSATS building.
which was hired by Tariq Malik being deputy chairman of NADRA in April 2011 to carry out electoral rolls printing for Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). He said in spite of plethora of clarifications published in media, PTI chief continues to harp on the same time and again and repeat the same unfounded and baseless information that is tantamount to discrediting the credibility of NADRA.
In a statement issued here on Monday, the spokesman said that there was no room for anybody to manipulate the election material because in presence of election tribunal's representative the polling bags containing photo-electoral lists and counterfoils were opened and the same was scanned before re-packing and re-sealing of polling bags. Once the scanning is completed, the election material is returned to corresponding election tribunal through its representative, he added.
However, the same facility has been visited by Justice Shakir Ullah Jan, then acting chief election commissioner, along with secretary ECP in April 2012, he said.
He said, "We repeat our invitation to Imran khan and his party to visit the COMSATS building along with media personnel and anybody else he chooses to bring along to see for themselves that the statements that are being made on this account are not only unjust and untrue but also a figment of imagination."
