ISLAMABAD  - Polio paralysed two more children in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on Wednesday.
Ishaq son of Kabul Jan, a 30-month-old male child who is resident of Miran Shah, was given zero dose. Muhammad son of Inamullah, an 8-month-old male child who is resident of Miran Shah, contracted the disease as he was also not vaccinated against the crippling disease. Two new wild type1 polio cases of 2014 took the total number of polio cases to 77 with FATA 59 (NWA 50, SWA 05, Khyber Agency 02, FR Bannu 02), Khyber Pakhtunkhawa 12 (Peshawar 04, Bannu 08), and six cases surfaced in Sindh.
