Three accused of kidnapping, murder arrested

ISLAMABAD - The Central Investigation Agency (CIA) Sunday arrested three accused involved in kidnapping and murder of a 27 years old Umar Naeem, resident of Alipur Farash, Islamabad. The accused namely Raja Muhammad Zubair, Lal Ghulab and Jamshed Nawaz had kidnapped Umar Naeem along with his car from the jurisdiction of I-A Police Station and later on murdered him. The police had recovered the body from Attock district on the pinpointing of the accused. According to details, the accused had kidnapped the deceased on April 21, 2008 when he had gone to drop his father in his office situated in the Industrial Area. When he did not return home, his father reported the matter to the I-9 Police Station. Police registered the case No 154/08 u/s 365-PPC. Soon after the incident, acting SSP Dr Moeen Masood referred the case to CIA Police in charge Bashir Ahmed Noon and a joint team was constituted consisting of CIA inspector Sarfaraz Hussain SI PS I-9 Tasadaq Hussain SI Zul Hussain and ASI Muhammad Riaz for investigation of the case. The joint team started the investigation and successfully arrested the three accused namely Raja Muhammad Zubair, resident of Rawalpindi district, Lal Ghulab, resident of Akora Khattak, Noshera district, and Jamshed Nawaz, resident of Jand, Attock district. Police had recovered the body of Umer Naeem from the jungle in the  area of Jand Makhad, Attock district. The accused had confessed that they had murdered Umer Naeem with a motive of snatching car from him. The body had been handed over to the legal heirs after the autopsy while recovery of snatched vehicle was under way. The police had obtained three days physical remand of the accused from the court and further investigation was under way.
