NP’s councillor kidnapped in Turbat
 
 
 

QUETTA - Unidentified persons kidnapped a newly-elected councillor of the National Party in Turbat on Thursday, police said.
Khuda Nawab, elected from Kech, was on his way from Turbat to Zamran when some armed men intercepted him in Bawai area of Kech and took him to an undisclosed location.
 The motive behind the kidnapping could not be known yet. A case has been registered and further investigation in underway.
Separately, two people said to be hailing from Punjab were killed in Dashti Bazaar and Malikabad area in Turbat. Sources said the deceased were working as the sweepers in local municipality.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and took the body into custody.
