ISLAMABAD - Additional Secretary (Europe) and former ambassador to Italy and Morocco, Tasnim Aslam, has been designated as new official spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Aslam, who replaced Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry, had also previously served as spokesperson from 2005 to 2007. She joined Foreign Service of Pakistan on October 18, 1984 and held various diplomatic assignments in Pakistan missions' abroad including Paris (1989-91), The Hague (1991-93) and New Delhi (1997- 2000). Aslam holds two master degrees in business education and international relations.
The outgoing spokesperson Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry introduced her to the journalists at the weekly press briefing on Thursday.
