Walk organised to mark Blood Donor Day today





RAWALPINDI - A walk will be held tomorrow (Thursday) to mark the International Blood Donor Day. The walk will be organised by Health Department, Government of Punjab, local administration and Divisional Blood Transfusion Unit, HFH, informed HFH spokesman on Tuesday.  PML-N members of National and Provisional Assemblies, professors, doctors including PGTF Chairman Dr Jamal Nasir, medical students, paramedics, members of blood donors associations of the city and people from all walks of life will participate in the walk in large numbers. Intention of the walk is to create awareness about blood donation and blood transfusion. Registration Counters are being set up in this regard for registration and blood donation at different centres of city. Moreover, banners have also been displayed in various parts of the city to create to get attention of public to make the walk a success.
According to spokesman, for any enquiry and information Dr Muhammad Farooq Khan, Divisional Blood Transfusion Officer Rawalpindi could be contacted during working hours at HFH.
