FIA arrests ex-DG Hajj on charges of corruption

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested former Director General Hajj, Rao Shakeel and Trading Corporation of Pakistans (TCP) Director Adil Mokhar on charges of corruption on Saturday. The two have been arrested on charges of embezzlement and financial irregularities. According to sources, Rao Shakeel will be taken to Islamabad where he will be presented in court on Monday for a remand. Sources also said that Adil Mokhar will be taken to Karachi. DG Hajj Rao Shakeel was called back over corruption charges of millions of rupees in the guise of purchasing buildings for pilgrims in Makkah.
