ISLAMABAD  - Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) on Thursday recommended the confirmation of nine judges of the Peshawar High Court and six months extension to its two judges.
According to the sources, the names approved by the Commission for making them permanent included Justice Abdul Latif, Justice Malik Manzoor, Justice Ikramullah, Justice Musarat Hilali, Justice Lal Khan Khattak, Justice Irshad Qaiser, Justice Shah Jahan Akhunzada, Justice Asadullah Chamkani and Justice Ruhullah Ameen, while recommended for six months extension to Justice Ifsar Shah and Justice Muhammad Dawwar Khan.
The JCP recommendations would now be sent to the Parliamentary Committee on judges' appointments for final approval.
